About Us

We are a Hebrew Roots Fellowship in Northeast Ohio (Richland/Knox/Morrow/Holmes County area) seeking to grow closer to our Messiah Yeshua through our love of Him and our obedience of His Torah.  We meet twice monthly as well as for the High Holy Days and would invite you to join us!

We gather at the beginning of the first and third Shabbats of each month (Friday evening) for fellowship, a family meal, and a midrash/study time.  Our midrashes tend to very interactive as we all study and are prepared to share though some are quieter participants.

Whether you have been understanding your Hebrew Roots for years or just started your journey today, we seek to be a safe place to grow and study the Scriptures together.  Our favorite compliment has been “I love the cohesive spirit of our group.”

We believe…

·    That it is our whole duty to fear YHVH and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

·   That the Scriptures (Old and New Testament) are the infallible word of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and God’s name is YHVH

·   That YHVH (God) is one, and is expressly manifested in numberless ways, and that all these ways are the one true God (YHVH) (Deuteronomy 6:4)

·   Yeshua ha Mashiach (Jesus) is the Word of YHVH (God) manifested in the flesh  (John 14:9)

·   That salvation is by grace through faith, believing that Yeshua’s innocent blood was shed to pay the penalty for our transgression of Torah (sin) (1 John 3:4)  —   it is a gift and cannot be earned

·   That Yeshua was born of a virgin by the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit)  (Luke 1:35)

·   That Yeshua died and resurrected after 3 days and 3 nights, and sits at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69)

·   That the new covenant that Yeshua added was made with the House of Judah and the House of Israel (the “Commonwealth of Israel”) and He wrote the Torah in our heart and in our mind (Hebrews 8:7-10)

·   That the family of Messiah (commonwealth of Israel)  is composed of all those who believe and have committed themselves to Yeshua (Romans 10:12-13) and that all those who believe are grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:12)

·   That Yeshua is indeed coming soon as King of Kings and LORD of Lords to restore His kingdom, so that where He is, we may be also  (John 14:3 and Luke 1:33)

·   That Yeshua is currently our High Priest sitting at the right hand of the Father in the heavenly temple (Hebrew 3:1)

·   That knowing the culture, language, idioms, and people who penned the Scriptures helps us to understand the whole Bible (Luke 24:44)

·   Yeshua is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrew 13:8)

·   Obedience to the Torah (law/instruction) is designed to bless the followers of the God of Israel.  (Deuteronomy 11:25-26)

·   Leviticus 23 tells about the feasts of YHVH, and we endeavor to rehearse these feasts to understand the entire plan of YHVH and His calendar; the festivals of YHVH are holy appointments to be observed forever; these are not the feasts of the Jews, but are the feasts of YHVH (Leviticus 23:2)

·   Ezekiel 37:15-22 tells about the restoration of the two houses (sticks) of Israel – Judah and Joseph – along with their companions (all who believe) when Yeshua comes as King of Kings!

·   We pronounce the names the best that we know how, as “Yahweh” (YHVH) and “Yeshua” (Jesus).  The correct pronunciation was lost to us centuries ago, so we do our best until He returns to teach us again; we believe we are to call on His name (Zechariah 13:9)

·   We obey the commandments of the Torah because we love Him (John 14:15 and John 15:10)

·   We do not believe that the church (Christianity) has replaced the Jews or Israel (Romans 1:16)

·   We do not believe that the law (Torah) was done away with when Yeshua died, because He said not one jot or one tittle would pass from the law ‘til heaven and earth pass (Matthew 5:18) – today heaven and earth are still here!
